"Not all students have the same opportunities to explore or understand AI tools. I wanted to create something that helps bridge that gap and expand access for underserved students in the community."

Founder's Message

Why I started AI + Kids

I started AI + Kids, a student-led initiative inspired by my interest in artificial intelligence and my desire to make technology more accessible to everyone.

As I began learning more about AI, I realized how powerful it can be; but also how uneven access to it is. Not all students have the same opportunities to explore or understand these tools. I wanted to create something that could help bridge that gap.

AI + Kids focuses on helping students, especially those with limited access to technology, learn how to use AI safely, responsibly, and creatively. I believe AI should not replace creativity, but support it.

Why We Exist

The problem we're solving

AI is reshaping education; but most kids use it without understanding how it works. And access isn't equal. AI + Kids was created to close that gap.

We believe every child deserves the tools to understand, question, and shape the technology defining their future; not just consume it.

AI + Kids is student-led and community-focused. We specifically prioritize underserved students who may lack access to AI tools, guidance, or support systems. Our approach emphasizes digital equity, responsible use, and community partnership; not just tech skills.

Children already interact with AI daily: in search, recommendations, and educational tools. Understanding how AI works helps them engage with technology critically and responsibly, rather than passively. Early AI literacy is becoming as foundational as reading and math.
